The Avicenna Award in Medical Sciences is an honorary award that gives recognition to exceptional and innovative achievements of senior Arab/Arab-American scientists and/or physicians in the field of medicine or life sciences, in particular those contributing to scientific developments in medicine.

The inaugural Avicenna Award in Medical Sciences 2015 will be celebrated on Friday, November 6th at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The reception will serve as a dynamic networking platform for senior Arab-American/Arab scientists and physicians in the academic, medical, educational, and biotechnological fields. It will be a unique opportunity to form academic collaborations between Harvard and universities in the Arab World, as well as a means to showcase innovative projects that are underway in the Middle East and North Africa.
